What are Glass Block Lights?
Glass Block Lights are works of art that are wonderful accent pieces in your home or office. Many of our customers use them as night lights as well. We have them in our home where they burn 24 hours a day. But many of our friends have told us that they enjoy the ritual of turning them on in the morning when they start their day at home or arrive at the office and turning them off when they leave the office or go to bed.
These Glass Block Lights are handmade by Liza and me and are unique to our store. You will not find them anywhere else. Oh sure, there are people that make Glass Block Lights that are just clear glass blocks wrapped with a ribbon and bow so that they look like a Christmas present or package. But comparing those Glass Block Lights to our Glass Block Lights is like comparing a Ford Focus to a Ferrari. Yeah, they are both cars and they will get you from point A to point B, but that is about all that they have in common.
We haven't found a photographer that can do justice to these because of the internal lighting. But I will tell you two things that speak to their uniqueness and quality. First, we have sold several to people that MAKE the glass block light packages or presents. As one woman that makes packages said to us as she handed over her payment, “You know you have something special when people that make them are buying them from you!” The second testament is the number of people that have come back for additional blocks. We have had people buy four or five as they stand looking at them and say, “I'm getting a cross for Aunt Sue, a Star for my brother-in-law, that one for Dad", etc.
They are great presents as 99.9% of people haven’t seen them before and they have a WOW factor that you just can’t appreciate until you see them. It isn’t just another sweater. And we have found that men like them as much or more than women. At the shows we do, when men see them first because their wives are looking at something in another booth they will go find their wives and drag into the booth and say, “We have got to have one of these”. If you want something really different and unusual in your house that will draw a comment from everyone that sees it, you want a Glass Block Light. And if you are looking for that really unusual gift that says, "I really wanted to get you something special because of what you mean to me", you want a Glass Block Light.
