These pieces feature the proud emblem of the military service branch or first responder unit mounted on calcite. It has a plastic stand with a light in the back, which as you can tell by the picture, offers a "honeycomb" image of the emblem. Each piece is different in size, weight, color, veining, and other characteristics from all other pieces -- truly a "one of a kind". Most pieces proudly stand at approximately 5" x 5".
Honeycomb calcite is a recently discovered natural stone. It is heavier than concrete or granite and its hardness is comparable to marble.
The characteristics that set this stone apart from other forms of calcite are color, patterns, translucency, transparency, and its ability to accept a high polish.
The color ranges from a pale sunshine yellow, to golden amber, which is attributed to sulphur deposits at the time of its formation.
The patterns range from a "honey sugar" look of small cells grouped closely together, to large cell areas that give the appearance of petrified honey...no two pieces are alike.
The stand and back light are included.
This will make an absolutely outstanding piece of decor...in your home, office or it could be one of the most thoughtful and well-received gifts you could ever give
